The Bachelors Australia has kicked off, and the hunt for true love is on.
This year, we’re following Bachelors Felix Von Hofe, Jed McIntosh, and Thomas Malucelli in the new, revamped version of The Bachelor Australia, which is hoping to make things thrice as nice.
After embarking on a series of quick-fire blind dates, each Bachelor invited the women he felt a spark with back to the luxe waterfront mansion located on Queensland’s sunny Gold Coast. But, unlike past seasons with their linear progression from first date to finale, three Bachelors makes things a little more complicated and a little more dynamic.
“There was definitely the option to switch if somebody felt the need to, on either end,” Jed told The Latch.
“I think the concept of just expecting everyone to want to be with us as a given was something that — given the hearts we have and the men we are, thank goodness, we don’t expect that,” he continued. “With the format… it’s not just up to me and it’s not just up to the two other boys, it’s up to the girls, too.
“It didn’t feel misogynistic in any way. It was on an equal playing field. If someone likes you, cool, and if they don’t, they don’t, which is the reality of real life.”
As it happens, one of the girls who didn’t like the vibe of the Bachelor mansion was 21-year-old Ella, who made an early exit from the series after seeing Felix kiss Tilly at a cocktail party.
Having been cheated on in the past, Ella decided that she didn’t feel “emotionally ready” for the shenanigans of the Bachie mansion, and high-tailed it out of there.
Of course, with dozens of girls and only three men, not everyone will walk away with their soulmate at the end. Here’s everyone who’s said goodbye so far.
